Get involved

The group is open to all residents of the South Edinburgh area, or who feel connected to this community.

Here is a guide to getting involved with TES in 5 easy steps!

While this website (www.transitionedinburghsouth.org.uk) is the 'face' of TES, 'Grassgroups' is a website that we use for all of our communications, file sharing, and planning.  When you sign up to Grassgroups you will be able to recieve and create announcements, see our group calendar and communicate directly with TES members.

NOTE:  If you are a newcomer to TES... probably the best first step is to come along to one of our General Meetings.  These serve as both as a time for celebration and a chance to share what has been happening in each of our project groups and how to get involved.  You will find the details for the next General Meeting on the TES Grassgroups calendar.

Membership

TES welcomes all interested individuals to become 'Friends' of TES.  Becoming a 'Friend' of TES means that you are welcome to participate in all TES events, actions, meetings, parties, etc.  There is nothing in particular that you need to do to become a 'Friend'; if you are interested in Transition, are concerned about Climate Change and Peak Oil and want to make a difference through creative, collaborative (and very often celebratory!) community action, then you are already a 'Friend' of TES!

Becoming a 'Member' of TES simply means that you will be afforded 'voting rights' at TES General Meetings and Annual General Meetings.  Friends wishing to become members can do so by either:

a:  Downloading the membership form (below), completing it and emailing it as an attachment to the email address given on the form.

b:  Attending a TES General Meeting or Annual General Meeting and requesting a membership form from the TES Secretary.
