The Communication group focuses on promoting the ideas behind Transition and the activities of the group.
Discussing the ways we can educate ourselves, our community and spread the message about climate-change and the need to care for our environment and resources from now on. We are currently looking to develop a scheme such as “Transition Tuesdays” to encourage those not involved in Transition to think about change and to do one new, positive action a week. We are also looking at workshops to “Skill Up to Power Down” – we would love to create a forum where we can all share our skills to teach others how to relie more on ourselves than a multi-national corporation – workshops such as bike-mechanics; sewing and knitting; fixing stuff in our houses; and any other ingenious thing anyone might have to offer!
