Transition Scotland Regional Meet 2009

Three members from TES attended the Transition Scotland Regional Meet 2009 held in Hawick, the Borders this past Sat., 13th June.

Similar groups from all over the South of Scotland attended including representatives from Peebles, Moffat, Selkirk, Haddington, Dalkeith, Coldstream, Edinburgh, and Hawick (amongst other places).  Activities for the day included presenations from various speakers (including talks on permaculture, community wind farm construction, and the future of localised, organic food production), a fantastic lunch, and a number of 'open-spaces' where participants were encouraged to collaborate, share, and seek answers to their own questions. 

The representatives from TES were able to network and bring back contacts, ideas and inspiration to share with the Edinburgh South group.
