Climate Challenge Funding for the Switched on to Switching off project stage 3

The very good news is that we have just heard that our stage 3 project has been funded for £79.500.  Unfortunately we were not funded to set up an Environmental Hub. However, a proposal has been made to our group that CCF would fund an outreach worker for the community in South Edinburgh to promote sustainable living. CCF will also fund us to conduct a feasibility study for renewable energy in tenements, to run community events and other interesting outreach activitities to promote sustainability in South Edinburgh, so we are really excited about all the interesting opportunities this will provide for our members and volunteers and for our local community.

The project team will be meeting next week to consider the proposal from the Climate Challenge Fund.  I suspect we will accept the offer from CCF and will likely be putting a job advertisment on this website very soon. We will keep you informed and consult you about the development of this project.
