Creative action for Climate Change

We are living in interesting times.

On Saturday, several TES members took to the streets of Glasgow to join the Wave, the biggest ever climate change march and raised awareness about the urgent need to reduce carbon emissions.

Today 56 newspapers from 45 countries took the unprecedented step of talking with one voice through a common editorial to urge the world leaders to take action about climate change. They do so because humanity faces a profound emergency.

Slash your CO2 emissions from heating by 50%

As a family, the carbon dioxide emissions from burning natural gas to heat our home and provide hot water are our biggest contribution to climate change.

And we live in a modern, reasonably energy efficient house.

Add up the carbon emissions from our travel - work and leisure - and its less than our emissions from heating.

And our electricity consumption produces about half the emissions of our gas heating.

The Power of Scotland Renewed

Power of Scotland

As a Transition movement, we need to set our sails to take advantage of the prevailing wind, waves and tide and the renewable electricity that will flow from them. That requires us to be energy efficient and to continue to make changes in transport in the light of peak oil, and in heating in the light of peak gas so that we move to a renewable electric economy.
