Lights, camera, pedal!

Thanks to all those who came down on a very cold evening to the pedal powered TES / Occupy Edinburgh Film night. It was really encouraging to see so many people up for some open air cinema in December! Despite some technical glitches we got there in the end and the mulled wine and biscuits were much appreciated by all. Thanks to all who pedalled and to Powerpod. Below are some photos of the evening, apologises that they are on the dark side, but we didn't want to ruin the theatre atmosphere with flashes. See you at the next TES film night: Mon 12th Dec. 7.30pm

Remade wins 10:10 award

A big thank you to all who voted for Remade in Edinburgh for the 10:10 People's Prize award, it made a big difference as we won! See picture below of Remade Coordinator, Sophie Unwin accepting the very awesome award made from a recycled airplane.    Sophie also delivered a great performance at 10:10's Pitch Pledge Party ensuring even more unrestricted funding for Remade to grow and grow.    If you want to read more about the night please click here.

September TES Social

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who came along to the TES social last Friday (09/09/11) at the Meadows Bar.

There was quite a good turn out, which made me really happy; a good mixture of old faces and new. I chatted to loads of people with topics ranging from ukelele basses, making your own Christmas presents (it always takes longer than you expect) and volunteering with TES. I also managed to shamefully stuff my face with the majority of the communal nachos.

Action request from Climate Chaos Scotland

A message from Gail Wilson asking YOU to help the government help all of us to stop climate chaos, please read and follow through!

Hello,Scotland’s Climate Change Act is world-leading. With a 42% reduction target by 2020, it's in line with scientists' recommendations if we want to protect people and nature from the devastating impacts of climate change.

But while we're leading the way with our Climate Act, it'll be impossible to meet our commitments if there isn't adequate funding.
